I am writing this letter in relation to the professional coaching provided by Greg Moss who ensures students gain the maximum skills required for riding, including safety.

My son Matt was invited to stay at the Murray family’s home for a week during November after Matt was upset after the death of a friend. In conjunction with this stay, he was able to borrow a motorcycle from the family and attend a coaching course at the Coastal Motocross track held by Greg Moss. Matt has attended numerous motocross schools during his seven year involvement in the sport, but has never had such an enthusiastic approach to his riding and general well being since this particular riding school. In Matt’s words “Greg has taught me to ride smooth” and after watching Matt ride since, I would totally agree. This smooth riding however, also gives me satisfaction of safety.

I have had various conversations with parents of other junior riders at the Moss Riding School and we all agree that Greg’s communication skills with the juniors are fantastic. Greg seems to be able to relate to riders of all capabilities and experiences with the assistance of his two sons, Matt and Jake. They seem to have the right formulae in teaching the skills of motocross.

As a parent we all would like our children to be a champion or succeed in their chosen sport or path and to do so they need adequate teaching and guidance, but more so our concern is for their safety. I have personal fulfilment knowing that Matt has been able to attend the Greg Moss Riding School and absorb the information provided by this school.

Any motocross rider would highly benefit from a riding school of this calibre and with the growth of this sport with our junior riders; I do hope riders take the opportunity to attend a riding school as Greg’s.

A local bike shop owner said to me “if I bought my son a guitar I would have him taught to play it. If he had a motorcycle, he would also need to be taught professionally”. I took this advice on board and I am glad I did so because coaching is a must in our sport.
