JULY 3 2011 R7 MX Nationals Albury

Jake Moss suffered another shoulder injury at round seven at the 2011 Rockstar MX Nationals at Albury last weekend. Moss missed the start of the Australian season as he recuperated from a shoulder injury sustained in a German Supercross late last year. Jake looked good in practice and was ready to shoot for his fourth podium finish in a row but it all went out the window moments into race one when he fell in the opening stages and damaged his shoulder. Jake was instantly in pain and in the care of the RaceSafe staff. He was taken from the track and unable to race for the rest of the day. He will undergo further scans this week to determine the damage to his shoulder but was hopeful of a return to action at Moree in a few weeks time. "I knew as soon as I fell that I done some damage to my shoulder. The medics checked me out and sent me to hospital for doctors to have a closer look but haven't found anything major, although I will get it looked at again this week," Moss explained.

Matt extends lead in MX Nationals Matt Moss stretched his championship lead in the Motul Pro Lites with a consistent day of two 3rd and two 2nd places to return to the top step of the podium. "It was a great day, the team have been sticking behind me with the last couple of rounds being up and down but it was good to get it done this weekend," Moss said. The JDR Motorex KTM rider didn't have an easy day after hurting his shoulder in the second moto. "I honestly didn't think it was going to happen after i hurt my shoulder in the second moto. I was going to just go out there and salvage some points but i took off from the gate and my bike felt awesome and i was hitting my marks," Moss said. "We are gunning for that championship, we want it and really need it so i hope we can do that. My fitness isn't an issue, the first motos where pretty smooth but once it got rough my bike handled awesome. I got crapy starts all day but i fought past a lot of riders so it's good to be standing up on the top spot of the box and leaving with a win," he concluded.
