Jake rode really well but was plagued by bad luck on the weekend. Moto1 he had worked into the top 10 early but his fuel started to boil on lap 5 in the over 155 degrees heat, his bike lost power and he dropped back to 13th at the finish of the race. Moto 2 Jake went around a lot of the riders on corners 1 and 2 and was moving onto the back of Metty when his bike expired due to wet electrics from the wash between motos subsequently he pulled into the pits to get the bike fixed and in the rest of the moto he went from 30th to 15th by the end of the moto. Jake has more confidence after this weekend and is confident of pushing hard next weekend.
25 May 2008 AMA R1 MX Glen Helen
Jake has a disappointing race one being involved in a large crash on lap one getting up in near last position ending up. 22nd for that race.
In the second race results were allot better sitting in 8th until the last lap when he started to tighten up and ended up in 10th position. This leaves Jake in 15th position overall.
